1. Outline
- Develop lightweight and simple soundproof panel, which is easy to use and repair, with NRC (Noise Reduction Coeff) 0.7 or more of efficiency, 65% or more of porosity, and 0.8 or less of weight.
- Develop products suitable for construction materials using waste resources.
- Develop products which are not hazardous to humans when used or manufactured.

2-1. Analyze the characteristics of sound absorbing materials obtained from waste glass in order to develop a product and to find out problems.

Sound absorption rate was measured by acoustic duct with 5 kinds of samples prepared according to NaOH amount. The average NRC of sample No. 1 containing 5 wt% of NaOH was 0.271 and that of sample No. 5 containing 5 wt% of NaOH was 0.12, showing the lowest
4. Application
- Sound absorbing materials giving consideration to heat insulation efficiency, interior building material for reducing noise of vehicles, exterior building material for places where a lot of noise exists.
