Ulsan carries out 2017 New & Renewable Energy Project for Housing
Ulsan supplements part of the expenses for installation of sunlight and solar power generation facilities to 90 households
On February 2, Ulsan Metropolitan City announced that it would carry out 2017 New & Renewable Energy Project for Housing and provide subsidies (at municipal expense) in order to distribute new and renewable energy facilities including sunlight and solar power generation facilities.
2017 New & Renewable Energy Project for Housing supplements part of the expenses for installation of sunlight and solar power generation facilities to detached home owners. Among the total installation expenses of KRW 8 million for sunlight/solar power generation facilities (3kW), a maximum of KRW 3,510,000 at government expense and KRW 900,000 at municipal expense are provided per household. Claimants can install sunlight/solar power generation facilities in their houses at only half the installation expenses (approximately KRW 3,590,000).
90 households are expected to receive subsidies.
All detached house owners residing in Ulsan can apply for the project. In order to receive subsidies, applicants should first conclude a contract with a company registered with the Korea Energy Agency and apply for the project at the Agency. After being selected as a beneficiary, the applicant should visit the Ulsan Metropolitan City Energy Industry Division with an application form and a contract.
Ulsan Metropolitan City supported installation of 3kW sunlight generation facilities for 500 households of Samho-dong Green Village and mini sunlight generation facilities for 400 apartment houses, and installed sunlight generation facilities in public parking garages and three public facilities including the Nam-gu Dosan Seniors Welfare Center. It will keep making efforts to distribute new and renewable energy facilities.
