- The Korea Environmental Industry Technology Institute (KEITI, president Gwang-hee Nam) under the Ministry of Environment held '2017 International Symposium for Topsoil Conservation' to discuss the development direction of topsoil* environmental management coping with 4th industrial revolution and share the international trends.
* Top soil (surface soil): It refers to surface soil (around 30cm in depth) comprising geological surface of earth as the topsoil with quite many organic matters and mostly tinged with black of cross section of soil layer and it is important resource which becomes basis of maintaining ecosystem.
* This event was carried out with symposium and experts policy debate about information communication technology (ICT) converged topsoil environmental management measures and 11 experts from Korea, USA, France, Switzerland, Japan, China and Taiwan addressed as speakers.
