Australia says "almost all" microbeads have been phased out of cosmetic and personal care products, following the industry's voluntary 1 July deadline.
The government issued a statement on 7 December after Australia¡¯s eighth Meeting of Environment Ministers. The MEM comprises the Commonwealth Minister for the Environment and Energy and the environment minister from each Australian state and territory.
