Ecuador's development bank BDE signed a US$16mn loan agreement with five municipalities of Manabí province to finance the expansion of a local potable water treatment plant.
This agreement, with the municipalities of Sucre, San Vicente, Tosagua, Bolívar and Junín, includes a non-reimbursable amount of US$11.3mn, BDE said in a press release.
The project to be financed entails increasing the capacity of the La Estancilla potable water treatment plant to 40,000m3 per day.
