1. Overview
- The Ministry of Environment signed a Project Contractor Assignment Agreement on June 12th, 2017 for the large scale improvement & repair works of 6 national wastewater terminal treatment facilities with over 30 years of operations.
- First profit & loss sharing Private BTO-a (Build·Transfer·Operate - adjusted) Investment Project initiated by the government proceeding improvement of aged facility & equipment for 2 years commencing works in August of this year.
* To replace & repair aged facilities & pipes, installing the advanced systems such as additional filters for total phosphor treatment facilities and solar energy power generation facilities at some plants.
- Those 6 national wastewater terminal treatment facilities were constructed in 1980s when the fundamental environment facilities were in shortage as a part of special water quality improvement plan.
